Join myself, Jamie Gore, and Chris Karpyszyn as we talk about this past Tuesday’s Oscar nominees. We’re both not happy. He doesn’t really care for award shows and I think this year’s whole process is awful. We don’t need ten nominees for best picture. It’s beyond ludicrous. Also, although I rather liked District 9, I recognize that it’s a broken film. The last twenty minutes looked like a what-not-to-do for filmmaking. Yet it got nominated for several awards it shouldn’t have like Best Picture and Best Editing. Completely stupefying. Have a listen as we sound more like fifty-somethings complaining about how these films are on our lawn rather than the twenty-somethings that should be talking about how edgy the Academy is being this year with their bold choices. I think I’m not going to be the most fun guy to hang around with on March 7th.

*Sorry about the delay but as you can tell by listening to the podcast, I’ve still got some audio issues. I apologize about the quality but considering that in the last week I’ve recorded FOUR podcasts that were essentially inaudible, I’m happy that at least you can hear what I’m saying. If I sound distracted, it’s because I kept noticing that the audio kept spiking for no reason and my computer kept increasing the volume on my microphone for kicks, I suppose. You may hear funny pops and other nonsense because of that or me trying to correct the problem. Hopefully I’ll have everything fixed shortly.
