The written stuff that was supposed to go up yesterday will only go up on Wednesday now. The problem is the mid-term exam I’m having today. I need to make sure I do well on the exam so that’s why I’ve been spending so much time planning for it. I’m a little more nervous about it than usual (only because it carries a high weight for the final mark).
So I’ve decided to put up the podcast that Chris and I recorded last week. I didn’t want it to go to waste and I think we did a really good job with it. It’s 80 minutes of really interesting stuff within the world of video games. If you enjoy our podcasts, this is one that you don’t want to miss. I would have liked to have put the podcast up after my review of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and the HOF induction of Q*Bert were posted but since that isn’t going to happen until Wednesday, I didn’t want such a good podcast to rot on my hard drive.
Please note that the next video game podcast will be on Friday instead of Wednesday because of my crazy school schedule. I still think there should be a rule about exams before the week long study break (McGill actually calls it “Reading Week”). After the break, I only have one test before finals. It seems a bit absurd to me. Thank goodness it’s my last year.

Just listening to the podcast. have to agree that MAG is very disappointing. If Gran Turismo doesn’t come out this year, GOW III will be their only big mainstream title. Can’t forget Heavy Rain and Last guardian, both will be excellent games, hopefully they will get the sales numbers to match.
I’m not sure how many copies Heavy Rain will move. Even with marketing muscle, Sony’s first party titles have been performing poorly for the PS3. Even Last Guardian, while it’s getting buzz critically, isn’t a guarantee for Sony. Shadow of the Colossus did poor initially and only moved copies once it was reduced in price.
It’s too bad because the PS3 has so much potential but Sony seems to have no clue what they’re doing right now. They should merge with Toyota to create the world’s biggest screwed-up company.
