- Thanks to Chris’s mic doing its best Barry White impression and other assorted wackiness, the podcast is a bit late.
- Lots of news though. Although none of it seems worthwhile. The moral of the story was GDC was a waste of everyone’s time.
- Let me put it this way…I was holding back when I said how upset I was about the PSN crap that has been coming out for the PSP. I’m still anticipating angry e-mails from ticked off Sony fanboys.

The written stuff that was supposed to go up yesterday will only go up on Wednesday now. The problem is the mid-term exam I’m having today. I need to make sure I do well on the exam so that’s why I’ve been spending so much time planning for it. I’m a little more nervous about it than usual (only because it carries a high weight for the final mark).
So I’ve decided to put up the podcast that Chris and I recorded last week. I didn’t want it to go to waste and I think we did a really good job with it. It’s 80 minutes of really interesting stuff within the world of video games. If you enjoy our podcasts, this is one that you don’t want to miss. I would have liked to have put the podcast up after my review of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and the HOF induction of Q*Bert were posted but since that isn’t going to happen until Wednesday, I didn’t want such a good podcast to rot on my hard drive.
Please note that the next video game podcast will be on Friday instead of Wednesday because of my crazy school schedule. I still think there should be a rule about exams before the week long study break (McGill actually calls it “Reading Week”). After the break, I only have one test before finals. It seems a bit absurd to me. Thank goodness it’s my last year.

- Just me flying solo today
- I’m still having audio issues (and also my regular life has been very hectic the last week) so I apologize for the delay and the some of the sound problems
- Will Square Enix be the next video company to cut back their support for Nintendo hardware?
- Microsoft’s Game Room will only have family titles. That means you won’t be able to be trashed talked by your grandmother while playing Killer Instinct.
- Sony’s trying to eliminate all the reasons why someone would want to buy a Playstation 3. On that note, are there any people out there considering buying a PSP Go? Anyone???
- Civilization coming to Facebook. If I get a note from George Washington asking me to help him mine for silver to sell to the Aztecs, I’m going to punch the Internet in the groin.
- Rumours are swirling about Nintendo possibly announcing a new system at GDC next month. My prediction: Limited Edition Pikachu Yellow Wii

Weekly Video Game Post – Jan. 28, 2010
No video game podcast this week. We had recorded one for yesterday but it was awful so I scrapped it. I tried recording one today all by myself but while editing it I heard that I’m having major mic issues. Rather than record a third time for it to fail again, I’m just throwing up the white flag and will spend the time trying to fix the mic so that I can record the movie podcast for tomorrow.
All the regular stuff in the weekly video game post like sales figures (all information from http://www.vgchartz.com) and this week’s game releases are posted after the jump.

- My apologies for the long delay for this one. We’re recording using a new setup which makes us sounds a lot clearer but I had some difficulty tweaking it during post-production (only because this is my first time using the software). Also, my mic is humming a bit and I tried to fix it but it’s still audible most of the time. I should have it fixed for the roundtable podcast and future podcasts.
- Apparently, going with how Sega sees things, they should think the PS3 and Xbox 360 do not have a market for mature games either
- What happened to all the Twilight Moms out there?
- MMOs are dumb. Stop playing them.
