Weekly Movie Post–January 10, 2016

Keep checking back to the website tonight during the Golden Globes as I will be doing running commentary all night during the show. A couple of hours after the ceremony, I’ll be back with a podcast running down all the winners and losers of the evening.

Unfortunately, there’s no Weekly Movie Podcast for this week. I did record something last night but I don’t have time to edit it which is something that needs to be done with a podcast recorded past midnight (to remove all the dead silence, mistakes, and all the uhhs and ahhs). However, below are my picks for most of the film categories as well as the betting odds favourites. I have been so busy with watching as many movies as I can in the lead up to the Golden Globes that I haven’t much time to record or write anything. Thankfully, even though I do plan on seeing a number of movies this coming week, there will be a number of movie reviews on the site.

Also included in this post are the box office results from last weekend and a list of all the new movies available in theatres and on home video this week.
