Better late than never some might say but these podcasts are disgustingly late. Hopefully these will be the last items to ever be massively delayed on this site again. There will be a bunch of new content popping up on the site this weekend as the site once again returns to normal. Starting today, all the normal features are back and there will be daily updates (mostly) on a regular basis everyday.
I finally got my new audio equipment in so the podcast quality starting with the Day 2 Recap should be much better (at least when it’s me on the mic.). I re-recorded the Day 2 Recap so I could try out the new equipment. I still have some tinkering to do but it still sounds great. In fact, the quality is so good that I was able to finalize the recording at 64kbps instead of 128 to save on space and there doesn’t seem to be any degradation of quality. If you notice any problems or have some suggestions on how I can improve the audio, please leave me a comment below or send me an e-mail at email@example.com
Thanks again to Chris Karpyszyn and Steve Wood for helping out with the Day 1 recap. If you’re interested in Chris’s ramblings, head over to his site at www.chriskarypszyn.com.
The written stuff that was supposed to go up yesterday will only go up on Wednesday now. The problem is the mid-term exam I’m having today. I need to make sure I do well on the exam so that’s why I’ve been spending so much time planning for it. I’m a little more nervous about it than usual (only because it carries a high weight for the final mark).
So I’ve decided to put up the podcast that Chris and I recorded last week. I didn’t want it to go to waste and I think we did a really good job with it. It’s 80 minutes of really interesting stuff within the world of video games. If you enjoy our podcasts, this is one that you don’t want to miss. I would have liked to have put the podcast up after my review of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and the HOF induction of Q*Bert were posted but since that isn’t going to happen until Wednesday, I didn’t want such a good podcast to rot on my hard drive.
Please note that the next video game podcast will be on Friday instead of Wednesday because of my crazy school schedule. I still think there should be a rule about exams before the week long study break (McGill actually calls it “Reading Week”). After the break, I only have one test before finals. It seems a bit absurd to me. Thank goodness it’s my last year.
